We were part of the 2019 congress of the Programme québécois de cancérologie to present our cancer prevention nutrition workshop program as part of ″Foods That Fight Cancer″.
Our workshop program includes 3 sessions (useful nutritional tips, cooking demo with a chef, etc.) facilitated by a dietician from Colorectal Cancer Canada. This program is currently in collaboration with the Jewish General Hospital and all program participants were identified as being at risk of developing colorectal cancer.
A positive approach towards healthy eating is put forward in this program and the goal is to empower people to adopt healthy eating habits as part of their lifestyle.
After the 3 sessions, participants rated their motivation to change their lifestyle habits to reduce the risk of developing cancer as 9.4/10.
It was a great opportunity to inform healthcare professionals, researchers, and patients about colorectal cancer prevention and what we do!
